> Breakthrough Healthcare is the independent consultancy of Sam Walters, MBA. He helps medical societies, life sciences companies, data analytics providers, and federal health agencies turn clinical data into real-world evidence platforms, patient registries, and quality measurement programs.

Sam Walters has over 20 years of experience across 25-plus healthcare organizations and 18 medical specialties, including the American Society of Hematology, the American College of Cardiology, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, the American Gastroenterological Association, the American Society for Clinical Pathology, and the International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis. He is completing an MS in Applied Informatics at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and holds an MBA from University of Maryland Global Campus.

Core services: patient registry and real-world evidence (RWE) program design, real-world data (RWD) analysis including the OMOP Common Data Model (OMOP-CDM), CMS-approved quality measure development, and healthcare data standards and governance.
