ASH Research Collaborative Data Hub
American Society of Hematology

Lead clinical and technical advisor to a national registry aggregating EHR data for patients with sickle cell disease and multiple myeloma. Led design of the registry’s metrics and clinical data elements, prioritized measurement areas through clinical practice guideline analysis, and developed the technical requirements and wireframe prototypes guiding development.

Common Data Elements for Venous Thromboembolism
International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis

Facilitated the creation of the first international standard dataset for clinical research in venous thromboembolism, guiding seven international working groups and over 50 members. The resulting standard was published in the Journal of Thrombosis and Haemostasis and accepted by the National Library of Medicine.

National Pathology Quality Registry
American Society for Clinical Pathology

Led development of the first national quality measurement registry for clinical and anatomic pathology, from market assessment and business case through four simultaneous clinical work groups and over 30 new quality measures. Lead author of the successful CMS grant application funding measure development under MACRA.

Marketplace Quality Module
Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services

Guided design of the system calculating and disseminating health plan quality ratings under the Affordable Care Act, working with CMS and three contractors to translate Agile story maps into system architecture, data models, and interactive dashboards for program staff.

Carotid Stenting and Endarterectomy (CARE) Registry
American College of Cardiology

Lead clinical dataset and product developer for a program spanning quality measurement, research, and FDA reporting requirements, working with cardiology, interventional radiology, vascular surgery, and neurology to build a comprehensive shared dataset.

Clinical Decision Support Tools
American Gastroenterological Association

Designed point-of-care decision support algorithms for colorectal cancer screening, hepatitis C screening and diagnosis, and IBD pharmacotherapy, and built the association’s first mobile applications to put quality measures into clinicians’ hands.
